Welcoming all who seek to have fun performing, socializing, and singing choral pieces from diverse periods and cultures.

Being a Chorus Member

Three sessions a year, consisting of eight weeks of rehearsals followed by a community performance.

There are no auditions. All singers are welcome to join regardless of their skill levels — we support the development of every aspiring or experienced singer and musician.

A decision to join us can be a short-term commitment. Join us for one session, or come back for more.

Our rehearsals are two hours long, every Tuesday for eight weeks, followed by a concert on the Thursday immediately after the last Tuesday rehearsal.

Singers have access to a current session membership area to find details for rehearsals and concerts, membership directories, and recordings of the pieces for the necessary practice at home.

Pay Structure

Singer Fee

We aim for an average fee payment of $130, but encourage singers to pay what they can — whether that’s sometimes less or more.

Pay What You Can

While singers are expected to pay a fee per session, we don’t want cost to be a barrier to singing with us. Each singer is asked to pay according to their ability.

The full fee payment (or more!) is always welcome, but less is absolutely fine.

What It Covers

The budget and fee structure are calculated on the average number of committed singers. It enables us to purchase music, rent rehearsal and concert venues, cover administration costs, and — most importantly — pay our professionals fairly, including the Director and Accompanist.

Details

Singers are expected to make their fee payment concurrent with their registration.

Refunds to singers who are unable to complete an 8-week rehearsal schedule are made at the discretion of CCC.
